Most Alaska public school employees don't have access to a pension or Social Security. 69% of Alaska educators are projected to outlive their retirement savings.

NEA-Alaska ESP Spotlight

Meet Julia Walker, the Forever Bear. Julia knows every student’s name when they arrive in the morning at North Star Elementary School in Kodiak.

Her impact doesn’t start and stop at the doors of her school, she is also an active member of the Kodiak Island Education Support Association (KIESA).
