No Child Left Behind

This law was originally enacted the law in 1965 to improve achievement among the poor and disadvantaged students.  The most recent reauthorization of the law called “No Child Left Behind of 2001” contains many significant changes.

T
he immediate impact of NCLB / ESEA is it applies to ALL schools not just Title 1 schools.  Those who work in those schools will be involved in the changes immediately while other schools will have more time to prepare.

NEA continues to lobby the congress to address some of the major issues in this law.

Please check with this site often to become aware of the changes as they occur.
