Every weekday between Early August and Early June, thousands of NEA-Alaska members begin the journey anew to do the best job possible in educating Alaska’s 128,000 public school children. Study after study reiterates the fact that a quality teacher in every classroom supported by quality education support professionals is the number one ingredient in delivering the best education possible to our children.

Every child in Alaska gets but one shot at receiving the best education possible.  At a minimum from the age of 7 until the age of 16, the vast majority of Alaska’s children are  entrusted to the members of NEA-Alaska.  We take our obligation seriously and aspire to live up to the expectation of parents, community members and most importantly each of us in doing the best possible job.  Whether it’s in a crowded urban classroom or a far –flung community in rural Alaska with all grades in one building or room, we all mean to accomplish the same task;  To make sure we provide an excellent public education for every child in Alaska.

Please join us in our journey.
